STANDO LTD (STANDOUTEDU) is a research and educational organisation based in Cyprus, dedicated to the advancement of research and innovation. We are, at the same time, an approved VET Centre accredited by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus. The strength of our enterprise primarily lies in our highly qualified team and its extended network of international partners.
STANDO LTD has 5 full-time staff, 10 part-time and more than 20 volunteers. Our dynamic and experienced academics, researchers and practitioners are committed in implementing large scale co-funded projects and collaborate with organizations from Cyprus and around the world. We actively participate in the planning and implementation of national and international projects, aiming at providing innovative solutions that facilitate the development of people and the cohesion of societies.
Since 2016, we are providing a series of professional and academic trainings under the scope of Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2, as well as courses, seminars and consulting services to various target groups (children, students, youths, teachers, policy makers, parents, adults), learners and staff of Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers and Adult Centres.

Staff
Anna Nicolaou
Dr Anna Nicolaou is a Researcher in the field of Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). She worked at Frederick University and European University as a Visiting Lecturer in teaching EE/ESD. Her research interests focus on the design and implementation of environmental and sustainable development programs in formal, in-formal and non-formal education, in individuals’ professional development in EE/ESD and gave counselling and advisory services in companies on how to become environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. She is the author of various educational materials for sustainable development issues. She has published and presented her work in EE/ESD international scientific journals and in international conferences. She was part of the Scientific Team of the preparation of the National Strategy for EE/ESD in Cyprus. She has long experience in EE/ESD and in training students, teachers, individuals, companies and various target groups in EE/ESD issues, as well as in Curriculum Development and implementation.
Alexandra Faka
Alexandra Faka is a teacher of English and Spanish with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has experience in teaching English, Spanish and Greek as a foreign or second language, as well as in translating and interpreting. She is also a behaviour analyst specialising in children with autism. She holds a MA in Inclusive Education from Bolton University, UK and an Msc in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Queen’s Belfast University, UK. She has been working with children with autism for over 6 years, in both the UK and in Cyprus. She has been conducting school-based social skills groups and have been running ABA programmes with a focus on academic, social, self-help skills as well as speech development for young children with ASD. She has been involved in research in various fields including education and applied behaviour analysis.
Alexandra is also a circus artist specialising in aerial arts (hoop, silks, rope). She is a certified aerial hoop instructor currently working as an aerial fitness and hoop teacher.
